Welcome to my first newsletter of 2007.  I hope you enjoy looking at my latest commission and new still life work. I’m also pleased to say that my website, which has experienced a few problems over the last couple of months is now functioning well and has a new look!

Evelyn Brake qualified and practised as a nurse for a number of years before having her first child.  She then went on to travel with and support her husband Frank in his successful catering business, Brake Brothers.  Evelyn has three children and five grandchildren and enjoys spending time in her home and especially her garden.

A series of limited edition prints of selected still-life work are available from The Grocery gallery from April.  These include both the featured still-life works from this newsletter.

Charlotte is continuing to exhibit work at The Grocery Gallery in the Old High Street, Folkestone, and a number of new pieces in her still-life series are currently being shown.

A biography of the former Bishop of Oxford, Richard Harries, has recently been published by Continuum International Publishing Group.  Charlotte’s portrait, commissioned by the diocese and unveiled last year, is featured on the back cover.
